Agrostis imberbis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia (Boyacá), Peru, hingga Argentina. Nama ilmiah Agrostis imberbis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rodolfo Amando Philippi pada tahun 1896.
