Agrostis kilimandscharica merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Rep. Kongo hingga Ethiopia dan Tanzania. Nama ilmiah Agrostis kilimandscharica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Christian Mez pada tahun 1922.
