Agrostis platensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil selatan hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Agrostis platensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi pada tahun 1951.
