Ailanthus triphysa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Simaroubaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan Asia tropis dan subtropis hingga Queensland timur laut. Nama ilmiah Ailanthus triphysa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama August Wilhelm Dennstedt pada tahun 1931.
