Alchemilla atropurpurea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Pyrenees. Nama ilmiah Alchemilla atropurpurea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sigurd Erich Fröhner pada tahun 1992.
