Alchornea liukiuensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nansei-shoto hingga Taiwan utara. Nama ilmiah Alchornea liukiuensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bunzō Hayata pada tahun 1911.
