Alhagi maurorum var. turcorum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania timur. Nama ilmiah Alhagi maurorum var. turcorum diperkenalkan oleh Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1977.
