Allolepis texana adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas hingga Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan texas salt. Nama ilmiah Allolepis texana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Vasey pada tahun 1965.
