Almutaster pauciflorus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang kawasan subarktik Amerika hingga Meksiko. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan alkali marsh aster. Nama ilmiah Almutaster pauciflorus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1982.
