Alternanthera flavescens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau semak dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara hingga kawasan tropis Amerika selatan dan Lesser Antilles. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan yellow joyweed. Nama ilmiah Alternanthera flavescens diperkenalkan oleh Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1818.
