TORREY'S AMARANTHUS Amaranthustorreyi (A.Gray) Benth. ex S.Watson
Amaranthus torreyi adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga Texas dan Meksiko tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan torrey's amaranthus. Nama ilmiah Amaranthus torreyi diperkenalkan oleh Asa Gray pada tahun 1880.
