Amischotolype hispida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Commelinaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kalimantan hingga Papua. Nama ilmiah Amischotolype hispida diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Achille Richard pada tahun 1974.
