Amphiachyris dracunculoides merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan prairie broomweed. Nama ilmiah Amphiachyris dracunculoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1840.
