Amphipogon avenaceus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Barat bagian selatan Australia. Nama ilmiah Amphipogon avenaceus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1810.
