Ancistrothyrsus hirtellus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Passifloraceae yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia (Caquetá) hingga Venezuela selatan dan Peru. Nama ilmiah Ancistrothyrsus hirtellus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alwyn Howard Gentry pada tahun 1992.
