Andropogon chrysostachyus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia hingga Tanzania. Nama ilmiah Andropogon chrysostachyus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1854.
