Andropogon virgatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Andropogon virgatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicaise Auguste Desvaux pada tahun 1825.
