Anemia mexicana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Schizaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas barat-tengah hingga Belize. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mexican fern. Nama ilmiah Anemia mexicana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Friedrich Klotzsch pada tahun 1845.
