Anthephora pubescens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Afrika beriklim kering, Iran. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wool grass. Nama ilmiah Anthephora pubescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1841.
