Anthospermum herbaceum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Jazirah Arab barat daya, Eritrea, hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Anthospermum herbaceum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1782.
