Aphanocalyx microphyllus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat hingga Angola. Nama ilmiah Aphanocalyx microphyllus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Harms pada tahun 1999.
