Aponogeton azureus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Aponogetonaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh di air dan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Namibia barat laut. Nama ilmiah Aponogeton azureus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Wilhelm Eduard (Harry) van Bruggen pada tahun 1975.
