Aponogeton cordatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Aponogetonaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh di air dan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Madagaskar timur. Nama ilmiah Aponogeton cordatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henri Lucien Jumelle pada tahun 1922.
