Arachis villosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil selatan hingga Uruguay barat dan Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Arachis villosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1839.
