Arachnothryx ovata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kolombia timur laut. Nama ilmiah Arachnothryx ovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Hurd Rusby pada tahun 1967.
