Argyroxiphium kauense merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Hawaii). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan kau silversword. Nama ilmiah Argyroxiphium kauense diperkenalkan oleh Joseph Rock pada tahun 1957.
