Aristea africana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Aristea africana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Centurius von Hoffmannsegg pada tahun 1824.
