Aristida abnormis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur laut hingga Pakistan.
