Aristida cognata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bahama, Lesser Antilles, hingga Venezuela. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spreading threeawn. Nama ilmiah Aristida cognata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1842.
