Aristida glabrata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arizona hingga Meksiko barat laut. Nama ilmiah Aristida glabrata diperkenalkan oleh George Vasey pada tahun 1924.
