Aristida moritzii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela hingga Kolombia. Nama ilmiah Aristida moritzii diperkenalkan oleh Johannes Theodoor Henrard pada tahun 1927.
