Aristida protensa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Somalia. Nama ilmiah Aristida protensa diperkenalkan oleh Johannes Theodoor Henrard pada tahun 1928.
