Aristolochia maxima merupakan tumbuhan berkayu dari famili Aristolochiaceae. Spesies ini memiliki pola hidup memanjat dengan akar tetap di tanah (liana). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan, Venezuela, hingga Martinique. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan florida dutchman's pipe. Nama ilmiah Aristolochia maxima pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin pada tahun 1760.
