Arrhenatherum album merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Mediterania barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tall oat grass. Nama ilmiah Arrhenatherum album pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Martin Vahl pada tahun 1962.
