Artemisia tournefortiana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye hingga Asia tengah dan Himalaya barat. Nama ilmiah Artemisia tournefortiana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Gottlieb Ludwig Reichenbach pada tahun 1824.
