Arthraxon depressus merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India selatan. Nama ilmiah Arthraxon depressus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Stapf pada tahun 1933.
