Aruncus sylvester adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga Rusia Timur Jauh dan Jepang. Nama ilmiah Aruncus sylvester diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Vincenz Franz Kosteletzky pada tahun 1879.
