Aruncus sylvester var. astilboides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (Honshu utara). Nama ilmiah Aruncus sylvester var. astilboides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Maximowicz pada tahun 1903.
