Aruncus sylvester var. subrotundatus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang utara (Gn. Apoi). Nama ilmiah Aruncus sylvester var. subrotundatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Misao Tatewaki pada tahun 1956.
