Aspalathus alpestris merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Aspalathus alpestris pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1963.
