Aspidosperma excelsum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kosta Rika hingga kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Aspidosperma excelsum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1841.
