Asplundia platyphylla merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Cyclanthaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kolombia barat. Nama ilmiah Asplundia platyphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gunnar Wilhelm Harling pada tahun 1958.
