Aster himalaicus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Guyana hingga Brazil tengah hingga Argentina (Misiones dan Corrientes). Nama ilmiah Aster himalaicus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Baron Clarke pada tahun 1876.
