Aster oreophilus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Bolivia hingga Argentina utara-tengah (San Luis dan Córdoba). Nama ilmiah Aster oreophilus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adrien René Franchet pada tahun 1896.
