Aster trinervius merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nepal, Tibet selatan dan Indo-China utara, hingga Filipina (Luzon). Nama ilmiah Aster trinervius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Roxburgh pada tahun 1825.
