Astragalus atratus var. inseptus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Idaho. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan fairfield milkvetch. Nama ilmiah Astragalus atratus var. inseptus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rupert Charles Barneby pada tahun 1961.
