Astragalus atratus var. owyheensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oregon hingga Nevada. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan owyhee milkvetch. Nama ilmiah Astragalus atratus var. owyheensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Aven Nelson pada tahun 1923.
