Astragalus nuttallianus var. macilentus merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian selatan-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan turkeypeas. Nama ilmiah Astragalus nuttallianus var. macilentus diperkenalkan oleh John Kunkel Small pada tahun 1959.
