Astragalus schmolliae merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Colorado barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan schmoll's milkvetch. Nama ilmiah Astragalus schmolliae pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1945.
