Astragalus scutaneus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko (Jalisco, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosà barat daya). Nama ilmiah Astragalus scutaneus diperkenalkan oleh Rupert Charles Barneby pada tahun 1956.
